Vohosoft ("we", "our", or "us") operates the BingoKart Rider mobile application ("App") for delivery partners on the BingoKart platform. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect from delivery riders, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: Your name, mobile number, email address, and password when you register as a delivery partner.
- Precise location (foreground and background): Your real-time GPS coordinates while you are active and on delivery. Location is used to assign nearby orders to you, enable customers to track their delivery in real time, and calculate delivery routes. Location is collected in the background only while a delivery is actively in progress.
- Order data: Details of deliveries assigned to you, including pickup address, drop-off address, order contents (for verification), and delivery status updates.
- Earnings data: Delivery fees, completed trips, and payout history associated with your rider account.
- Device information: Device type, OS version, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to deliver real-time order assignment alerts and push notifications.
- Usage data: App interactions and session data to monitor app performance and improve the rider experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To verify your identity and manage your delivery partner account.
- To assign delivery orders to you based on your proximity and availability.
- To share your real-time location with customers so they can track their delivery live.
- To calculate delivery routes, distances, and estimated arrival times.
- To send you push notifications for new order assignments, updates, and platform communications.
- To calculate and process your delivery earnings and commission payouts.
- To facilitate communication between you, customers, and our support team via in-app chat.
- To provide rider support and resolve delivery disputes.
- To monitor platform safety and detect fraudulent activity.
- To comply with applicable laws, tax regulations, and legal obligations.
3. Location Data
The App requests precise location permission (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) and uses location as follows:
- Foreground use: While the app is open and you are active, your location is used to show your position on the map and assign nearby orders.
- Background use: While an order is actively assigned to you and in progress, your location continues to be collected in the background so customers can track their delivery in real time. Background location collection stops automatically when the delivery is completed or cancelled.
- Shared with customers: Your real-time location is shared with the customer whose order you are delivering, for the duration of that delivery only.
- Shared with platform: Your location is shared with the BingoKart platform to coordinate order assignments and monitor delivery progress.
You can withdraw location permission at any time via your device settings. Doing so will prevent order assignment and active delivery tracking, and may affect your ability to use the App.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as necessary:
- Customers: Your first name and real-time location are shared with the customer whose order you are actively delivering. This sharing stops once the delivery is completed.
- Vendor partners: Your name and estimated arrival time are shared with the restaurant or store for pickup coordination.
- Firebase (Google): FCM tokens are used to deliver push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Google Maps / Play Services: Used for map rendering and location services on your device.
- Legal authorities: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users and Vohosoft.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and delivery data for the duration your rider account is active and for a minimum of 3 years thereafter as required for financial and legal compliance. Your real-time location data is not stored permanently — it is used ephemerally during active deliveries and is not retained after delivery completion. You may request account deletion by contacting us.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit, JWT-based authentication, BCrypt password hashing, and role-based access controls. Location data is transmitted over encrypted connections at all times.
7. Your Rights
- Access and update your profile and bank details through the App at any time.
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us.
- Withdraw location permission at any time via your device's app settings.
- Opt out of promotional communications while continuing to receive operational notifications.
8. Children's Privacy
The BingoKart Rider App is intended for delivery partners who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
9. Third-Party Services
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — push notification delivery.
- Google Maps & Play Services — map rendering and location services.
- Razorpay — earnings payout processing.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
